Dr. Mia Luluquisen, DrPH - Keynote Speaker
Mia Luluquisen, DrPH has been working in community-based public health for over 30 years; she co-founded the San Antonio Neighborhood Health Center and two community organizations, Sariling Gawa Youth Council and the Community Health Academy. As part of her commitment to community capacity building and applied research for social action, she has provided training and technical assistance in program planning, evaluation research, community health education, strategic planning and organizational development to educational institutions and community based organizations across the United States, Canada, Iraq and Mexico. Dr Luluquisen is a Lecturer with the Masters of Public Health program in Community Health Education at San Francisco State University and serves on the DrPH Advisory Committee at UC Berkeley. She received her DrPH in Community Health Education and MPH in Public Health Policy and Administration from University of California, Berkeley. Her undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Nursing is from UCSF.
